A It's 11 o'clock in the morning. The kitchen of the Riverside Restaurant is hot and noisy. Tory
Jones is chopping the vegetables. After she finishes that, she'll prepare the meat and fish and get the
bread out of the oven. Everything has to be ready by 12 o'clock. That's when people start arriving
at the restaurant for lunch.

B Of course, everybody has to eat, and the trainee chefs just have time for a quick meal at about 5
o'clock. At six the restaurant opens once again and people start arriving for dinner. Tory gets off
work at about midnight.
