どう考える? almost と most の使い分けですが、almostは「副詞」、most は「形容詞·代名詞」 という品詞の違いがポイントです。 almostは 「副詞」なので、×) almost of the boys はアウトです。 なぜなら、( )of the boysの( )には「名詞·代名詞」 が入るからです。 most は 「代名詞」にもなるので、most of the boys はOKです。 ほかにも、×)almost 名詞もダメです (名詞を修飾するのは「形容詞」であって、 副詞almost は名詞を修飾できません)。
