"You must save electricity." We often hear these words, especially in
summer. Why do we have to save electricity in this season? Because air
conditioners are used more than in other seasons.
Look at the graph. It shows electricity consumption on one day in the
summer. A lot of electricity is used from 9:00 to 17:00. In homes, a lot 5
of electricity is also used from 17:00 to 20:00. We can avoid blackouts
if we don't use much electricity from (A). We should use it before
9:00 and after 20:00. I think this is the best way to save electricity during
the summer.
What can I do? I'm going to watch TV and use my computer after 10
20:00 during the summer vacation. I'm also going to get up at 6:00 to
study. It's cool early in the morning, so I don't have to use an air
conditioner. I'm going to tell my family, “Let's ______ (B)_____." If we do this,
we will use only one TV, one air conditioner, and one light, so we can
save electricity. I think saving electricity is important and that it's not so 15
difficult. Let's do something to save electricity!
