接続詞＋主語＋動詞(能動態／受動態) → ～ing(現在分詞)／～ed(過去分詞)

(1) When(接続詞) we [were shocked](過去形・受動態) at the scene, we didn't know(過去形) what to say.　
→　〇 Shocked at the scene, we didn't know what to say.　
(2) Because(接続詞) I didn't sleep(過去形・否定) well last night. I feel(現在形) so sleepy this morning.
→ 〇 Not having slept(完了形分詞・否定) well last night. I feel so sleepy this morning.
(3) Because(接続詞) they were(過去形) unable to read the map, they got(過去形) lost.
→ 〇 Being unable to read the map, they got lost.
